How it works
Ojakgyo runs without staff in the loop. That is why we publish in advance exactly what we check and what we show.
Write your profile
The profile is written in eight saved steps. You can stop and come back later, and nothing is visible to anyone until you submit.
- Basics · faith life · education and career · photos · documents · about you · preferences · final check
- Legal name and contact details are stored as private fields and never appear on your card
- Two to six photos, normalized to 1600px on our server, with a separate blurred preview for locked cards
Automated review
When you press Submit, a rule-based review runs immediately. If every required field is complete you pass; if anything is missing you see a Needs-info list with links to fix each item.
- The result appears right after you submit
- Once approved you can see other members' full profiles immediately
- Edits to an approved profile are re-checked with the same rules
Verification badges
Documents are pre-checked automatically for format, size and resolution, then placed in the operator's queue. Once confirmed, badges appear on your card and detail page.
- Baptism verified with a baptism certificate, membership letter or transfer letter
- Only masked copies of government ID are accepted, and the image is deleted within 3 days of the decision
- Employment and education proofs are optional and each earn a separate badge
Request and accept
Send a request with a message of at least 20 characters to someone you are interested in. When they accept, a connection is created and a conversation opens.
- Up to 3 requests a day; unanswered requests expire automatically after 7 days
- If you both send requests, you are connected right away
- Even after connecting, legal name and contact details are shown only when you press Share
What the automated review checks
The items below are taken directly from the actual review rules. The rules are written in code and apply to every member the same way.
- Nickname 2–12 characters
- Legal name (private)
- Gender
- Birth date (19+)
- Location
- Marital status
- Baptism status
- Church and conference
- Sabbath practice
- Diet
- Education
- Occupation
- At least 2 photos
- Main photo selected
- Baptism certificate or membership letter
- Government ID (masked)
- Intro 80+ characters
- Ideal partner 40+ characters
- No phone/SNS handles in text
- No inappropriate language
- Family faith background
- Height
- Answer 2+ values prompts
- Nickname does not contain legal name
- Preferences
The baptism certificate is required only if you selected Baptized. If you are preparing for baptism you can pass without it, but the baptism badge will not be shown.
The completeness score adds up the weight of each item and converts it to 100. Passing is decided by whether every required item is complete, not by the score.
What the badges mean
A badge means the operator confirmed a document you submitted. No badge is granted without a document.
A baptism certificate, membership letter or transfer letter was confirmed.
Age and legal name were confirmed against a government ID. The ID image is deleted within 3 days of the decision.
The profile photos were confirmed to be of the member.
Employment was confirmed with a certificate of employment or business registration.
Education was confirmed with a graduation or enrollment certificate.
A social account is linked to the profile. It is shown only to connected members.
Visibility
You can change who sees your profile at any time. With any setting, visitors and members who have not submitted see only a blurred card.
Public — all approved members
Every approved member can see your profile and send you a request.
Limited — only people I send interest to
Only people you have sent a request to, and people you are connected with, can see your profile. You do not appear in the Discover list.
Hidden — no one can see me
No one except existing connections can see you. Useful when you want to take a break.
