Ojakgyo
SDA members only, verified before you meet

Not a stranger from an app. Someone from your own church family.

Everyone here is an SDA member or preparing for baptism. Baptism records and IDs are checked and shown as badges, and your real name and contact stay closed until you both decide to open them. Talk marriage from the first message, with someone who never needs the Sabbath explained.

Signing up, browsing and sending requests are free.

Members with a public profile right now0 members

Visitors see a blurred photo, age range, region, conference and badges only. Nicknames and introductions open up after your own profile passes review.

No public profiles yet.

Submit your profile to see full profiles

Nicknames, photos, introductions and faith answers are visible only to members whose own profile has passed the automated review. Most people get a result right after submitting.

How it works

From your first profile to sharing contact details, every step is your decision.

  1. Write your profile

Fill in the basics, your faith life, at least two photos and an introduction. Legal name and contact details are stored as private fields.

  2. Automated review

A rule-based review checks required fields and wording. Pass and you can see full profiles right away; if something is missing, you get an itemized list.

  3. Verification badges

Upload your baptism certificate (or membership letter) and government ID; after checking, badges appear on your card. Mask the last digits of your ID, and we delete the image within 3 days of the decision.

  4. Request and accept

Send a request with a short message to someone you are drawn to. Up to 3 a day; unanswered requests expire after 7 days. When they accept, a conversation opens, and you share contact details when you are ready.

Verification and safety

Because this is about marriage, we check what should be checked and keep private what should stay private.

Baptism verified

We check a baptism certificate, membership letter or transfer letter. You can join while preparing for baptism, but the badge requires the document.

ID verified

We confirm age and legal name with a government ID. Mask the last digits, and the image is deleted within 3 days of the decision.

Photo and text checks

Photos are normalized on our server and visitors only see a blurred preview. Introductions containing phone numbers or social handles are flagged in review.

You control your contact details

Your legal name, phone number and KakaoTalk ID are shown only after you are connected and press Share. Before that, no one sees them.

Who Ojakgyo is for

SDA church members

You belong to the SDA Church or are preparing for baptism. Korean conferences and overseas divisions are both welcome.

Serious about marriage

You would rather get to know one person with marriage in mind than date casually.

19 or older

Age and legal name are confirmed against your ID. Married or attached people may not join.

Frequently asked questions

Can I join if I am not SDA?

No. Ojakgyo is only for members of the SDA Church and people preparing for baptism. If you are preparing, you can join, but the baptism badge requires a certificate or membership letter.

Who can see my legal name and contact details?

No one, by default. They are shown to one person only, after you are connected and press Share. The operator can see your legal name to process verification.

Does it cost anything?

Right now, signing up, browsing and sending requests are all free. If we introduce paid features, we will announce them in advance and never charge retroactively for features you already used for free.

Who reviews my profile?

A rule-based automated review. It checks that required fields are complete and that your text contains no contact details or inappropriate language; most people get a result right after submitting. Documents are pre-checked automatically and then confirmed by the operator.

Can I join from outside Korea?

Yes. SDA members living abroad are welcome. You can set your country and region on your profile, and the interface is available in Korean and English.

Will people from my church find out I joined?

Your nickname and photos are visible only to approved members. Set visibility to Limited and only people you send interest to can see you; set it to Hidden and no one but existing connections can.
